Review: Sachidanandan (Mohanlal) is released from prison after serving a double life sentence for killing the ex-husband of his step-mother when he was a child and for killing a police officer harassing his friends at a juvenile home. With the continuous efforts of Sachi’s younger brother Manu (Sarjano Khalid), the police finally agrees to release Sachi. After his release, however, his family welcomes him. They tell that a surprise is awaiting for him which is his younger brother Vishnu’s (Anoop Menon) marriage with Vandana (Honey Rose). Vandana realizes that Sachi was the one who saved her from a gang and in the process of saving her, Sachi’s back was scratched by a sickle. She forces him to tell the truth. He reveals to them that he wasn’t just serving the sentence but has been working and helping the police as he has a special skill of seeing in the dark. A police officer Vedantham IPS approaches Sachi to eradicate one drug mafia run by Edwin Moses and Shetty as they are using innocent people for their drug business. Later he and his family faces many troubles. What happens later? Who is Edwin Moses? Will Sachi be able to catch Edwin Moses forms the rest of the story.
Director Siddique is known for taking films that are family value oriented, humour, sentiments and actions. In this movie, though family sentiments were well covered, humour element is missing a bit. The movie was categorized as a thriller but somehow the thriller element is missing in the script.
Poor screenplay and weak dialogues. Arbaaz Khan, with such powerful personality is not utilized properly. The film’s leading ladies did their part well in their limited roles. Supporting actors performed well too. Music is a big relief. Songs are good. This film is completely a Lalettan movie.
If you are a Mohanlal fan, you will love this film.
