Review:

Due to the pandemic, the movie that was scheduled to be released on big screens got postponed indefinitely and got finally released on OTT Platform. This movie is released on Amazon Prime on 2nd of October in Telugu, Tamil and English versions. The film is dubbed in Malayalam with the same name while the Tamil and English version is named Silence.

Madhurkar, who got inspired by the movie Pushpaka Vimana wanted to make a similar dialogue less thriller and named it Nishabdham. Later he gave the story to Kona Venkat who thought it had the potential of an “International project” and has added dialogues to it.

Anushka Shetty who is seen in many heroine-oriented films plays the deaf and mute character named Sakshi.  She has played her role well. Her facial expressions and sign language are so commendable. She has trained herself in sign language for more than two months. Her eyes and expressions speak thousand words. Madhavan fits into his character of a wealthy popular musician. Anjali, looked serious in her role as a cop. She looks fit and suitable for the role and carried herself well. Subbaraju, Shalini Pandey and Avasarala Srinivas did their characters very good. Shalini’s role of a over-protective friend is well portrayed.

The background score of the movie took the movie to an outstanding level as the music plays an important role in the thriller films. The  songs are very good. Ninne Ninne by Sid Sreeram was very good. Madhuramide was very melodious.

The story and the script were good. This movie is not like any other murder mysteries. This movie starts with horror element and slowly takes the story making it a crime thriller. Undoubtedly it keeps the audience glued to the screens with its twists. Perhaps, better direction would have given even better results as the film has got a talented star cast who had much to offer with their acting skills. Nevertheless, the film is still must watchable for its starcast and commendable acting of the lead actors.
