Review: Rajnikanth, even at the age of 69 mesmerizes the audience. He is the only actor who can make even a weak story interesting and watchable with his style and acting. This movie is an action thriller.
The story starts with Aditya Narayan(Rajnikanth), Commissioner of Mumbai police killing the gangsters of Mumbai.
Aditya Narayan, a cop lives in Mumbai with his only daughter Valli(Nivetha Thomas). He once arrests a drug supplier Ajay Malhotra(Preteik Babbar) who happened to be the son of an Industrialist Vinod Malhotra(Nawab Shah). When he goes to prison, he notices that the person who is in the prison is not Ajay Malhotra but someone else. He finds out that Ajay Malhotra is in Thailand and they request the Thai police to apprehend him. To bring back Ajay, he kills the proxy. To save themselves, the police now had to kill the real Ajay and show his body to the public. In due course they come to know that Ajay Malhotra is the son of Hari Chopra(Suniel Shetty), an International Drug Lord. Hari Chopra comes to know of his sons death and comes to Mumbai to take revenge. He kills the only daughter of Aditya, Valli. Aditya goes on a killing rampage and kills all including Hari Chopra.
In all Murugadoss movies we see one thing in common which is that one has to take law into hands just to see that the justice is done in the right way.
Rajnikanth is shown as a cop in his 30’s. A big credit goes to the makeup man here. The movie covers emotional and sentimental aspects by showing the relationship of a father and his daughter. Nayantara’s role is limited only to the romantic and love angle in the movie. It’s a complete Rajnikanth’s charisma that pulled off the movie so well along with the Father daughter sentiment.
